Winston Churchill quoted it saying that kites fly against the wind and not with it. How true are his words and how inspiring to those who aspire to do something that nobody else in their surrounding can think of or dare to? One example of a person that comes to my mind and who I think has been living up to these words of Churchill is Shamit Khemka – the CEO and Founder of Synapse India.

Born and brought up in a business family, this young entrepreneur was in no way eager to follow the same track as his ancestors did. Since his college days, Shamit aspired to be an entrepreneur. Instead of following his family business of flour mills, Shamit Khemka came up with his innovative venture in the name of Pharos Infotech immediately after completing his graduation from St. Xavier College.

Inspired by the success of the dotcom Pharos, Shamit soon surprised the Indian realty market with his second venture Sampatti.com – a website dedicated to Indian real estate industry.
